"YELLOW MOUNT"AA APHA Supreme Champion

"Yellow Mount"
APHA # 3300
PtHA # 21487
Sire: Tetrack Scooter AQHA
Dam: Lady Yellow Jacket APHA

The first horse to become an APHA Champion was the 1964 red dun overo stallion "Yellow Mount", sired by a Quarter Horse and out of "Lady Yellow Jacket", the APHA Lifetime Leading Dam of World Champions, "Yellow Mount" greatly influenced the Paint breed. Of the 39 horses who have earned the title of APHA Supreme Champion, one is "Yellow Mount" and 4 are his progeny.
For years "Yellow Mount" was considerd the "Paint Horse Model" and "Symbol of the Breed". He was the first APHA Champion and the first running Supreme Champion, stood National Champion 8 times, was a Superior Halter Horse and earned ROM's in Racing, Western Pleasure, Calf Roping, Reining, and Barrel Racing.
"Yellow Mounts" accomplishments alone made him an outstanding individual, but his impact as a sire made him a legend, he is an All-Time Leading Sire.

Progeny:
26 APHA Champions
32 Superior Event Horses
11 National Champions
2 Superior All-Around
14 Reserve National Champions
4 Supreme Champions
79 ROM's
1 Versatilit
"Yellow Mount" died in 1990, but his legacy will live for as long as there are Paint Horses!
In the upper L corner is a photo of my 2 yr. old APHA red dun colt, a great grandson of "Yellow Mount", referred to as "Freckles" at this point in time, his papers are pending right now, and out of a daughter of "The Rainbow Reale" AQHA SI 92, a son of the QH Hall of Fame horse"Easy Jet".
